Red Socks Run is your chance to take action — for your health and for the 2.7 million Australians affected by kidney disease.
This October, challenge yourself to walk or run 60km — symbolising the 60 hours people on dialysis spend connected to a machine each month.
You can complete the distance your way, in your own time — whether it’s solo or with a team, all at once or across the month. However you do it, every step helps raise funds and awareness to help end dialysis by 2050.

30,000km Virtual Challenge

The Renal Unit Challenge is at the heart of Red Socks Run - honouring every person connected to dialysis.
By visiting each renal unit across the country, we’re shining a spotlight on the people, places, and stories behind kidney disease. It’s a powerful way to build awareness, show solidarity with the kidney community, and remind every patient and healthcare worker that they are not alone in this fight.
