Red Socks Run 2024

My Achievements

My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health

This October, I’m going to Red Socks Run as life depends on it.

By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.

Please donate to my page to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to individuals and families like mine affected by kidney failure.

YOU can make a difference – Please join me and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.

My boys and me

Monday 9th Sep
This may not mean much to some but this is a cause that really hits home me. My eldest boy was diagnosed with Alport Syndrome about 5 years ago. Some may have heard of it but not many have. It is a genetic disease that affects mainly the kidneys but can also affect eyesight and hearing. It was definitely along road to diagnosis but with so many tests, scans and biopsies we got there. Now with the right treatment we are trying to prolong his kidney function. Since then I have found out the I also have it (and unfortunately passed the gene onto my boys) and so does my youngest boy. Unfortunately for us we will never get actually better. Please spare a few dollars to help support this cause!
It will truly mean the world to me and my family
