Walking With Heart ❤️
I’m taking on the Red Socks Challenge this October for a reason that is very close to my heart.
For the past few years, kidney disease has been a huge part of our family’s life. I’ve watched my husband live through kidney failure, spend countless hours connected to a dialysis machine, and face the physical and emotional challenges that come with it.
Dialysis isn’t just a few hours out of your week — it takes away precious time from your family, your work and your life.
Now, after everything we’ve been through, I want to turn our experience into something positive.
This October, I’m committing to walking 60km — one kilometre for every hour a person on dialysis can spend connected to a machine each month.
I’m doing this to stand beside the thousands of Australians living with kidney disease, raise awareness of what they go through, and help support better care and a better future.
If you can donate, every contribution means so much. And if you can’t, simply sharing my challenge and helping spread awareness is just as valuable.
❤️🧦 Every step is for those still waiting, still fighting and still hoping.
