Red Socks Challenge 2026

My Red Socks Challenge for Kidney Health

People on dialysis spend around 60 hours every month connected to a machine.

This October, I have
committed to the Red Socks Challenge, to stand with Australians living with kidney disease.

I will be taking on 60km in October to honour the hours spent on dialysis - raising awareness and helping fund better care.

Please donate to support a better future for people with kidney disease.

My journey

Monday 24th Aug
This year I have decided to do the red sock challenge again to help find an end to dialysis.
I have been on dialysis for over two years, I stared the journey on Pd until peritonitis caused me to have a bowel perforation which then caused sepsis, with only 20% chance of survival, my lungs collapsed and I had to have painful drains to removed the fluid once I got past that I ended up with fluid on the heart and major PTSD  I spent three months in hospital. All the while starting my life on hemo dialysis. Last year we raised as a team over $5000 this year I have a goal on my own to raise $500
Today I feel so much stronger although the fatigue will be a challenge to get in the kms I feel strong enough to push through it and help my kidney community ♥️❤️‍🩹
Much love 🥰
