Stevie was born 1.5 months premature and was diagnosed with Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome shortly after. Congenital Nephrotic Syndrome affects 1 to 3 in 100,000 children worldwide and is a rare syndrome where the body’s kidneys filter too much of the proteins needed by the body and therefore has resulted in Stevie having complete kidney failure at 3 years old and being on dialysis for the past year whilst we await a transplant.
We're planning to do the 60km in October to support Kidney Health Australia as our way to give back.
