Kidney Transplants Change Lives
A kidney transplant can completely change a person’s life. I was incredibly fortunate to receive one, giving me and my family the opportunity to live a more normal life and experience things we once couldn’t take for granted.
However, not everyone living with kidney disease gets that opportunity.
People receiving dialysis can spend around 60 hours every month connected to a dialysis machine, simply to stay alive.
This October, my wife and I have committed to the Red Socks Challenge to stand alongside Australians living with kidney disease.
Together, we will take on 60km throughout October, with every kilometre representing the hours people spend on dialysis. Through this challenge, we hope to raise awareness of kidney disease and help fund better care and support for those affected.
