Our Red Socks Run for Kidney Health.

2025 has well and truly been the biggest year yet in Damon’s kidney disease journey.
We have learnt just how dangerous and fast acting kidney disease can be, how precious life is and how quickly it can be taken from us, we have been shown some of the most overwhelming support from far and wide, we have met some new and incredible nurses, doctors, specialists and liaisons, we have laughed, we have cried and we have asked why over and over and over.
That’s why we are making the year’s Red Socks Run the biggest and best one yet.
This is something I will never ever think twice about doing as I have seen first hand the devastation this can cause to victims and their families and it is such a good way to bring some fun into fundraising and spreading awareness.
For my beautiful, beautiful Damon, as always you will never have to face this alone and through all the shit days I will always be there at the end of every day, at every appointment, every chemist trip and everything in between. You are so so brave and you amaze me every day.
So I thought it was time to start spreading the word.
Myself and our incredible little village of support will be doubling the goal and walking, riding, running, cycling and swimming 120km each over the month of October to raise money and awareness for this horrible disease.
We are also aiming to raise $500 to represent the 5 days Damon spent in ICU in May this year. 
Anything more then that is so appreciated. 
I know times are tough but please consider sparing your loose change to support such a good cause, or even just share this post.
The aim is to end dialysis by 2050 and what a wonderful day that will be.
