Red Socks Challenge 2026

My Red Socks Challenge for Kidney Health

In July 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Chronic Kidney Disease.

Living with kidney disease is something that isn’t always visible from the outside. There are days where I look completely fine, but behind the scenes, my kidneys are something I have to think about every single day.

I’m taking on the 60 km challenge this month to turn something that has had such a huge impact on my life into something positive. Every kilometre is a reminder of how far I’ve come, and an opportunity to raise awareness about kidney disease and the reality of living with it.

People on dialysis spend around 60 hours every month connected to a machine.

This October, I have
committed to the Red Socks Challenge, to stand with Australians living with kidney disease.
I’m doing this for myself, but also for everyone else living with kidney disease, especially those whose struggles aren’t always seen or understood.

I will be taking on 60km in October to honour the hours spent on dialysis - raising awareness and helping fund better care.

60 km might not sound like much to some people, but for me, every step counts.

Please donate to support a better future for people with kidney disease. Donations over $2 are tax deductible ❤️
