Red Socks Run 2025

My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health

This October, I’m showing up for every renal unit, every patient and moving towards a future without dialysis.

There are over 15,000 Australians on dialysis, and that number is rising. That’s why urgent action is needed now - to slow the progression and ultimately stop it.

Every dollar raised, every km logged, every step we take brings us closer to a future without dialysis.

Join me to honour the 60hrs a month someone spends on dialysis and together we can Move for them and Move for change!

Please donate to support a better future for people with kidney disease.

Part of my story

Friday 25th Jul
As someone who has been through hell this last 8 months fighting for my life with peritonitis and sepsis causing my all sorts of medical complications I feel I want to give back what I can by doing the red socks run (walk) 🤣
I do dialysis three times a week with a four hour session each time, it takes a big toll on my body both mentally and physically but also financially, not being able to work the dialysis days is so hard on the household budget, there isn’t any help financially for most dialysis patients as our end stage kidney failure is “treated” with dialysis we are not entitled to any form of disabilities support.
I would love to see the end of dialysis for all and doing this red socks run fundraiser is one way I feel I can help change the lives of many!
