My Red Socks Challenge for Kidney Health
We’re taking on the Red Socks Challenge for someone incredibly special to our family — my little nephew, Gabriel, who is living with Nephrotic Syndrome.
Nephrotic Syndrome is a kidney condition that can turn a child’s life upside down, bringing ongoing medications, hospital visits, blood tests and so much uncertainty. Watching someone so young face challenges that no child should have to worry about has inspired us to do something meaningful.
Gabriel’s mum, my sister, would have loved to take on the challenge herself, but after recently undergoing foot surgery, she unfortunately isn’t able to participate. So, in her place and in honour of her beautiful boy, Gabriel’s dad and I will be putting on our red socks and taking on the challenge together. ❤️🧦
We’re doing this for Gabriel — to celebrate his strength, raise awareness of Nephrotic Syndrome and help raise funds towards better treatments and brighter futures for children living with kidney disease.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, means more to our family than we can say. And if donating isn’t possible, simply sharing our fundraiser and helping us spread awareness means just as much.
This is for Gabriel, for everything he has already overcome, and for every little fighter and family navigating Nephrotic Syndrome alongside him.
Red socks on. Challenge accepted. Let’s make it count. ❤️
