My Red Socks Challenge for Kidney Health
People on dialysis spend around 60 hours every month connected to a machine.
This October, I have committed to the Red Socks Challenge to stand with Australians living with kidney disease. I’ll be taking on 60km in October to honour the hours spent on dialysis, raise awareness and help fund better care.
This challenge is especially close to my heart. After spending 5 years on dialysis myself and receiving a kidney transplant 3 years ago, I know firsthand just how much kidney disease can impact your life.
Taking on 60km is my way of honouring those years, celebrating the gift of my transplant, and supporting those still living with kidney disease and waiting for their second chance.
Please donate if you can — every little bit means so much. ❤️
