Im raising money for kidney kids like me and Amy.
Hey, Im Chelsea, Im a 25 year old living with Chronic Kidney Disease. I was born with Polycystic kidney disease. Throughout my life, I've spent 75% of it in hospital due to kidney disease, but one thing that has kept me going is events such as kidney kids camp and all events that Kidney Health Australia run for kids like me. Now Im able to join the rally to give back to KHA who truly helped me through some really tough times.
Throughout my journey I have met hundreds of other kids like me, living with kidney disease through kidney kids camp.
I'd like to tell you about my best friend, who I am dedicating this year's rally to. Her name is Amy Cameron, I met her at a kids camp roughly 12+ years ago and since then weve become best friends. She always understood my pain, was always there for me no matter what. Unfortunately due to not being able to receive another transplant, after 16 years on dialysis, last August she gained her angel wings.
Im dedicating this year's rally to her. I hope Im making you proud Ams, I miss you.
