Lordys Red Socks Challenge!!
This October, we're going to participate in the Red Socks Challenge.
I was diagnosed in 2019 with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney disease, a genetic disease called Nephronophthisis. Unfortunately there is no cure for this disease.
This year we are going to go beyond, and encourage others to participate and enjoy the walk!
For this year Engadine Cougars will be completing a walk from Engadine Bowling club to Cronulla, which is going to be a massive achievement!. My personal goal is to complete over 100km with in October.
Living with this disease is challenging as every day tasks can be overwhelming and too much.
During this walk, I want to educate others the importance of kidney health, and ways to look out for signs and overall information regarding diseases that could make a difference.
