My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health

This October, I’m going to Red Socks Run as life depends on it.

By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.

Please donate to my page to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to the families of the 66 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney disease.

This amazing initiative means a lot to me as I am one of those people sitting in a Dialysis chair 3x per week for 5 hour sessions seeking this lifesaving treatment.

Hey Everyone 

Next month my amazing workplace and I are fundraising and participating in the Red Sock Run to raise funds for Kidney Disease Research, supporting families, and helping people who suffer from this and seek life-saving treatment. 

Unfortunately, I am one of these statistics, being born with PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease) and after contracting COVID-19 in March 2022, it unfortunately attacked my kidneys and I was diagnosed with stage 5 renal failure. Once this occurred I took the necessary steps to prepare myself for Dialysis the life-saving treatment I need currently 3 times a week sitting in a chair hooked up to a machine for 5-hour sessions each week. 

This illness has cost me a lot personally, including taking my mother 8 years ago, my dad now having to seek treatment, and now myself in my early 30's. 

If you can spare any money and help support this cause I would appreciate it, and for the month of October wear red and walk in solidarity.
