Red Socks Run 2024

Tribute to Dad

My dad lost his long battle with kidney disease in February this year. You wouldn't have known it by looking at him, but dad was walking around for years with less than 20% kidney function. No matter how stubborn he was, and how much he pushed on and pretended everything was fine, this awful disease ultimately shortened his life and in turn altered the lives of all his girls forever as we lost our hero.

This October, my family and I are participating in the Red Socks Run. By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.

Please donate to my page to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to individuals and families affected by kidney failure. Hopefully this will go a little way to help families in the future not go through what we did, and find a cure for this horrible disease.

YOU can make a difference – Join me and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.
