My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health
This October, I’m doing the Red Socks Run.
This is in support of a friend who's dealing with a kidney disease. He's done more for me than I repay over the years, so I think putting myself on the line for a day is the least I can do to help.
The idea is to run, walk or cycle 60km. Now, I've already been running, but I'm not counting anything just yet. On the 27th of October, I plan to cover the entire 60km in one day, by doing a combination of running 3km and cycling 3km every hour on the hour for ten hours.
If you know me, you know I used to love to run. But that was a while ago, my body doesn't handle it so well any more. I am actually not sure I can complete this goal, but I am going to try anyway.
I am hoping for either some donations to encourage me, or just some comments to keep me motivated. Better yet, come run with me.
