Sometimes the best way to tackle a challenge is to quite literally run at it. This year I’ll be lacing up my runners and heading across the ditch to take on the Wellington Half Marathon in Wellington, New Zealand, raising much-needed funds for the incredible Kidney Health Australia.
This will be my second fundraising challenge, and while running 21.1km might sound a little crazy to some, it’s something close to my heart. I live with a kidney condition myself, so I know just how important the work of Kidney Health Australia is — from supporting patients and families to funding vital research and raising awareness.
I’m also incredibly grateful to have Kidney Health Australia supporting and sponsoring me for this challenge (which definitely helps when the legs start questioning my life choices somewhere around the 15km mark).
If running a half marathon helps raise awareness, spark conversations and contribute to the much-needed support for people living with kidney disease, then every step, sore muscle and early morning training run will be worth it.
Thank you to my Sponsors
