My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health
This October, I’m going to Red Socks Run, Ride and Walk as life depends on it.
There is nothing more heartbreaking than hearing the words “your child only has 1/2 a functioning kidney, the other never formed”. Luckily, Lachie has been able to enjoy his hobbies and sports like a normal teenager without too many challenges so far. As much as this Mumma hopes the rest of his life remains this way, the worry of accidental injury, increased failure and dialysis never goes away.
By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.
