Gravel Muncher

We are raising money to improve the lives of kid’s living with kidney disease.

Father and son team with strong family ties to a great cause. Stephen (dad) and Chris (son) decided to join the rally in 2023 after Stephen had recently retired as a way to ensure they were able to spend time together no matter what other life adventures came their way.

Having raced in the Kidney Kar rally on 6 separate occasions in the past it was definitely a case of the old dog teaching the young buck new tricks! None the less the adventure began and in the space of 6 months Chris and Steve found themselves a 1995 VS commodore and went to work building. Then end result being "Gravel Muncher". It's loud and bright and a reflection of 2 blokes that just want to get out there and have some fun while raising money and awareness around Kidney disease.

Heading into this years rally there was a bit to achieve. The car had to have a complete motor swap and a fresh paint job. The hard yards have been done now to strap in and floor it all the way to the finish line.

Jodie Lanyon is the reason Stephen and Chris chose the Kidney Kar rally. Having been taken far to early from this world due to the disease it's the duo's way of helping pave a better future for other kids suffering.

The Kidney Kar Rally helps support kids like Jodie by raising funds for our Kids and Youth Program. She is no longer with us but we can keep her legacy alive by helping others.
