Wear Pink For Kate Day

Wear Pink For Kate Day
My beautiful Kate would have turned 52 on April 24th, so this event has been created in honour of her life and to raise awareness for early detection of kidney disease.

In Kate’s Memory

Wear Pink for Kate Day is more than just a way to raise awareness of kidney disease. It's also an opportunity to celebrate the life of an incredible woman who touched so many people's hearts. Kate was a loving partner, mother, and friend who will always be remembered for her kindness, humour, and generosity. Let's come together on this day to celebrate her life and legacy.

What’s Involved?

Kate loved the colour pink, and so I would love for everyone to wear something pink and share a photo with the hashtag #WearPinkforKate to your social media, this event or to my personal page.

About Kidney Disease

As many of you may know, Kate passed away following a stoic battle with kidney disease. Kidney disease is a silent killer – it has no warning signs, and you can lose up to 90% of kidney function with no symptoms. In honour of Kate’s memory, please get regularly kidney checks by your GP. If we can save even one person from this debilitating disease, it will be worth it.

Make a Donation

This year, Kidney Health Australia is supporting Wear Pink For Kate Day and we invite you to donate to help them continue their vital work in the community. Your tax-deductible donation will help fund support and advocacy programs for people who are living with or caring for people with kidney disease. It will also help towards the early detection of kidney disease, enabling more people to receive timely treatment and potentially avoid the need for dialysis or transplant.
