My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health!
This October, I’m going to be walking 4-5km a day for Kidney Health Australia.
Patients with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) that receive hemodialysis spend an average of 50 hours per month attached to a dialysis machine, filtering their blood and removing excess fluid from their bodies - the usual job of normal, functioning kidneys.
This is a life altering condition for our patients and takes up a large portion of their life. Team Dialysis Swans want to walk/run a total of 750km in the month of October to raise awareness for our wonderful patients and all of those in Australia who have CKD.
Please donate to our page to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to the families of the 66 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney related diseases.
YOU can help us make a difference – Join us and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.
Go Kelsey. Always thinking of others despite your own troubles. Love you x
