Help me raise donations for Kidney Health Australia!
Hi everyone,
This October, Orbost Regional Health is participating in the Red Socks Run event for Kidney Health Australia!
Â
By running, walking or riding 60km we want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that kidney disease patients need to spend on dialysis each month. This is especially important as ORH recently reopened our Dialysis service to bring locals closer to home for their lifesaving treatments.Â
Without rural and regional services such as ours, local community members can be forced to move away into a city or large regional centre for months or years to wait for a chair to open for them closer to their home, and sometimes still have to travel hundreds of kilometres each week for Dialysis - this is especially true for remote outback communities.
Â
Please consider donating to our team to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments and access services such as the Big Red Kidney Buses, and provide support to the families of the 66 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney related diseases.
YOU can make a difference – Join us and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians, and readily accessible for all.
