No Drama Llama Returns for 2023 KKR!!!
This year "No
Drama Llama", featuring Trent Upton and Josh Lawn (Navigator) are heading
off for another KKR adventure (Kidney Kar Rally), travelling from Mudgee to
Narrandera via Batesmen Bay from 13-19 August 2023.
We are committed to raising as many funds as possible to support Kidney
Health Australia. Funds raised will help improve the lives of children and
youth living with kidney disease.
Programs such as the Kidney Kids Camp provide an opportunity for them and their siblings to build their self-esteem and confidence, develop peer support networks with other kids facing the same challenges and most importantly to just have fun and be a kid again. Now, more than ever these kids need our support.
Children with Chronic Kidney Disease or kidney failure face many physical, emotional and psychological challenges. Kidney Health Australia is committed to growing our Kidney Kids and Youth Program, including more regular activities throughout the year for the 8-17-year-old kids and young adults.
We are currently developing a Youth Program. This much-needed program will focus on providing support for the estimated 700 young people aged 15 - 24 years, living with advanced kidney disease in Australia, who are going through the difficult transition from paediatric care to adult clinical health settings.
Children with Chronic Kidney Disease or kidney failure face many physical, emotional and psychological challenges, which can include:
- interpersonal relationship problems
- feelings of social isolation
- behaviour and learning problems
- delayed language skills development
- delayed motor skills development
- a negative self-image
Let’s leave kidney disease in the dust! Your sponsorship or donation is greatly appreciated.
