Kidney Kar Rally
Every year, teams drive thousands of kilometers across the beautiful Australian countryside with one ambition - to change the lives of children and young people affected by kidney disease.
The Rally is not a race, it's for those who want to have an adventure with mates, your new Rallytives, and who crave something out of the ordinary.
If bouncing around in a Rally car is not your style, cruise at your own pace along the main roads in a Kruise Kar, you’ll still get to soak up the epic Australian countryside, meet up with the rally in each town and know that you’re helping Kidney Kids and Youth along the way.
What you get
Whether you are registered as a Rally driver, Kruise Kar or Back-up Vehicle, your vehicle and registration costs cover:
- All meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner (apart from the lay day)
- Event t-shirt
- Entertainment
- On route first aid
- Gear truck support
- Event officials
- Photos
- RallySafe monitoring (Rally and Back-up cars only)
…and the warm fuzzy that you are helping to make a difference to the lives of kids living with kidney disease.

Who can enter
Participants come from all across Australia to enter the Rally. Some are experienced rally drivers and navigators, but many have never rallied before! The others don’t rally at all but prefer to cruise along the main roads as a Kruise driver. Regardless of how you choose to rally, one thing is for sure, the Rallytives are all there with a single purpose, to raise awareness and much-needed funds for Kidney Kids and Youth.
Many of us have been affected by kidney disease in one way or another. Whether it be our own children, other family members, friends or ourselves that are battling kidney disease, we are all here with the same purpose in mind - to raise much-needed awareness of the insidious disease and more importantly, to raise money for Kidney Kids and Youth doing it tough.
* All cars are welcome, however, rally cars built before 31 December 2002 get preferential treatment from the scorers whilst later model cars and four-wheel drive cars will be penalised.
