This October, I’m going to Red Socks Run as life depends on it.
By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.

Why I'm doing the Red Socks Run
Wednesday 23rd Oct In 2023 I was diagnosed with IgA Nephropathy. This is a form of Chronic Kidney Disease.I was very lucky, I was diagnosed early. With some dietary modifications and some medication I can live a normal, active lifestyle.
There is no cure for Kidney Disease. Most people don't know they have it till it's in the later stages. It's so virally important to get checked!
I'm hoping to raise some much needed funds to help those living with Kidney Diseases have a more comfortable, accessible life with things such as the big red bus for those on dialysis, the Kidney Helpline which offers fantastic support not only for those living with the disease but people caring for those living with the disease.
