My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health
This October, I’m so proud to be taking part in the Red Socks Run not just for my hemodialysis patients, but also for my incredible dad, who lives with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and inspires me daily.
By running 60km (a challenge for this non-runner), I aim to raise awareness about the 60 hours each of my patients spend on dialysis each month; and to hopefully raise a little money along the way for research into life-saving treatments and support to individuals and families affected by kidney disease like my own.
