Running for My Uncle – 60km for Kidney Health

This October, I’m taking part in the Red Sock Run, running 60km over the month to support Kidney Health Australia. I’m doing this in memory of my uncle, who lived with kidney failure for many years, and unfortunately passed away in 2018 due to multiple transplant rejections and health decline.

People affected by kidney disease spend 60 hours each month on dialysis, a life-sustaining but exhausting treatment. By running 60km, I want to raise awareness of their fight and help improve the lives of those still battling this disease.

As long as I can remember, my uncle fought every day with strength and resilience, and I had the privilege of walking alongside him in past research walks. Now, I want to continue that journey—this time, running to raise awareness and funds for those facing kidney disease today.

Every dollar counts toward vital research, support programs, and better treatment options for kidney patients and their families. If you can, please donate to my page and help me make a difference in his honour.

Let’s run for change—one step at a time.
