Why 'Red Socks Run'?!

I'm partaking in the Red Socks Run this October to raise much needed funds for Kidney Health Australia!

I was first diagnosed with kidney disease in 2016 and over the past 7 years was managing it with diet and meds while living a semi-normal life - then in August 2023 I hit end-stage kidney failure. My whole life changed and I had no idea what the future held for me...

Now I complete dialysis treatment 3 days a week for 4 hours, this will be for the rest of my life! It is a big change and takes a lot of energy to go through this treatment, makes it a struggle to travel but thanks to Kidney Health Australia and the amazing work they do with the 'Big Red Kidney Bus' things might be a bit more normal for me moving forward.

Please donate if you can to this wonderful cause so that not only I can get the support or help needed but others like me and many more in the future can be cared for - cause Kidney Disease has no cure...
