My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health
This October I’m going to be walking 60kms to raise awareness of the 60 hours that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.
My reason why and inspiration for doing this is for my beautiful son Dion who is battling and navigating his own journey with kidney disease. Our life completely changed when at the young age of 2 he was diagnosed with Nephrotic syndrome. Since his diagnosis he has endured countless trips to the hospital whilst we navigate a treatment that works for his body as there currently is no cure. Donations made to my page will support funds for research into life-saving treatment and provide support to families of the 66 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney disease. It might even help find a cure for this rare disease that is Nephrotic syndrome. Any donation big or small is greatly appreciated.My Achievements
