My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health

Hi, I'm Tamara, I'm 16yrs old and this October, I'm going to be participating in Red Socks Run as life depends on it to support Kidney Health Australia that helps families with kidney disease.

by running 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60 hours that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month 

I am participating in this fundraiser to support my brother Blake, who in November 2022 was diagnosed with End Stage Renal Failure and began Dialysis immediately, after spending time in ICU and then the renal ward he was allowed home and attended our closest hospital 3 times a week for 5 hour dialysis sessions, it changed everything for Blake as a 17yr everything stopped for him no more school, work, or the fun things but it also changed things for our family.

Blake has been extremely lucky and received a transplant in March this year, it hasn't been completely smooth sailing either for Blake but him and our family just look for the positive in everything and keep aiming to be moving back to more normality since the transplant.
