My Red Socks Run for Kidney Health
This run is particularly important to me because of my gorgeous nephew Lennox who was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure at the age of 3. By his 4th birthday Lennox had had 15 procedures including pyeloplasty, deflux and multiple emergency surgeries. Now at nearly 5, Lennox has had years of countless hospital visits, specialist appointments and is left with just one kidney, which also has issues.
The gorgeous boy has had such a horrific time over the years and has done it all with a smile on his face. I can’t possibly imagine being more proud of anyone in my life, so this walk, run and ride is for him and for all the others that had chronic kidney disease too.
By running, walking, or riding 60km I want to raise awareness of the 60hrs that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.
Please donate to my page to raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to individuals and families affected by kidney failure.
Join me and help create a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.
